In her first collegiate match, Sangiacomo notched 12 kills on .391 hitting in a sweep of Florida International, including set-clinching kills in the first and second frames. Later that day, the Napa, California native racked up 13 kills on .407 hitting to help the Broncos erase a two-set deficit and defeat UT Martin. She had the set-clinching kill in the third and sealed the match with an ace in the fifth.
On day two of the tournament, Sangiacomo got off to a quick start against Marshall, posting nine of her match-high 18 kills in the first set. She had the final three Bronco kills of the first set and served up five aces in the victory.
