LOS ANGELES — Santa Clara volleyball battled in three close sets Monday in the second match in as many days at LMU. The Lions topped the Broncos 25-22, 25-20, 25-23 in a West Coast Conference matchup at Gersten Pavilion.
Santa Clara led all three sets by at least three points before LMU rallied in each of the frames to win the final match of its Spring 2021 regular season. Both teams were playing for the fourth time in five days.
The Lions (7-9, 7-9 WCC) rolled their offensive momentum from Sunday into a .389 hitting percentage on Monday.
