CHICAGO – Santa Clara women's soccer had a pair of players taken in the 2021 National Women's Soccer League Draft Wednesday evening.
Kelsey Turnbow was selected in the second round with the 18th overall pick by the Chicago Red Stars and Alex Loera was taken in the fourth round with the 36th overall pick by Kansas City.
Turnbow and Loera will return to the Broncos for the 2021 fall season before joining their professional teams.
"I'm proud of both Kelsey and Alex and very excited for them to become professionals," Santa Clara head coach Jerry Smith said.
