PHOENIX - Santa Clara softball concluded play at the Grand Canyon University Purple Classic on Sunday losing 14-1 in five innings to Cal State Fullerton. The loss snapped a three-game win streak for the Broncos (4-6) who finished the tournament taking three of five games.
Cal State Fullerton (7-3) racked up 13 hits and 14 runs but only five were earned as the Broncos defense committed four errors on the day.
The Titans scored a run in the top of the second on a Deshea Hill solo home run off Broncos starter Hannah Edwards.
