STOCKTON, Calif. – Sydney Lahners' three-run home run in the fifth was the big blow in the game as Santa Clara softball was topped by Pacific 5-1 in the series finale.
The Tigers (17-25, 7-5) took the lead with a run in the third and added another in the sixth for some insurance.
In addition to Lahners, Hailey Reed and Caitlyn Sung added RBIs as well with five different Pacific players collecting a hit each and five scoring a run.
Marissa Young (5-10) went four shutout innings in the start and collected the win while allowing two hits with a walk and three strikeouts.
