MORGAGA, Calif. – Hannah Edwards threw six strong innings while the top half of the lineup shouldered the offense in Santa Clara softball's 9-1 win over North Dakota on Sunday at Cottrell Field in a neutral site game.
Edwards (6-6) allowed just four hits and an unearned run to pick up her second win in as many days.
Offensively, the Broncos collected 13 hits with the one through five hitters getting 10 of them and driving in seven runs. Leadoff batter Ashley Trierweiler went 4-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs while Allyson Ferreira and Emma Bickford each went 2-for-4.
