PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Santa Clara men's golf ended the fall season on high note, carding its best score of the Saint Mary's Invitational with a final-round 10-under 273 to climb four spots on the leaderboard, ending the 18-team event in ninth-place with a 7-over 859 total.
"They rallied," head coach Rob Miller said of his players. "We got the best result we could ask for. It's nice to end on a positive note after those first two days and we left the fall not feeling as bad as if we had stunk it up."
The Broncos were led by senior Hayden Shieh, who shot 4-under on Wednesday to move into a tie for second-place with BYU's Patrick Fishburn and USC's Kaito Onishi at 8-under 205.
