RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – Santa Clara men's golf held the lead after first-round play at The Farms Invitational, but lost a few strokes before second-round action was suspended due to darkness. Teams and individuals will complete the second round early Tuesday morning ahead of the final 18 holes.
"It's anybody's ball game right now," head coach Rob Miller said. "It could have been much worse. We played the toughest holes really well and made up a lot of ground on 15, 16 and 17."
The Broncos carded a first-round 3-under 285 to take a 4-shot lead over UCLA and Cal Poly, but they were slow out of the gate in the middle 18 holes.
