Season Opens at Home for Men's Soccer Friday with No. 6 Maryland

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer opens the 2017 season Thursday at 7:30 p.m. with a tough test in No. 6 Maryland.

In their two exhibition games, the Broncos went 0-1-1. At Sacramento State, they fell 1-0 but came back with a 2-2 draw at San Jose State Sunday. Valdemar Andersen and Satoshi Chaffin scored the Bronco goals.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 1-3 all-time against Maryland with the last meeting coming in 2014. The then-No. 23 Terrapins won in College Park 3-1. The lone Bronco victory in the series came in 1998 at home 1-0.
