SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Another game. Another 30-point performance by newcomer Brandin Podziemski. This time it was to the tune of a career-best 34 points as he led the offensive charge for Santa Clara men's basketball in a 78-62 victory over Georgia Southern.
Podziemski combined with fellow sophomore Carlos Stewart for 48 of the team's 78 points. He also pulled down 11 rebounds for his first-career double-double and added three assists and two steals. The transfer from Illinois did the majority of his damage in the first half, connecting on his first four 3-point attempts and finishing the half 5-of-6 from downtown and 25 points.
