SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Santa Clara men's basketball sophomore guard Brandin Podziemski has earned WCC Player of the Week honors following a sensational two-game start to his Santa Clara career.
The Greenfield, Wisc. product led the Broncos to a 2-0 start by averaging 32.0 points, 10 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. He is one of just four players in NCAA D1 in the last decade to average 30 points and 10 rebounds through the first two games of the year. He is also the first player in school history and the first WCC player since at least 2000 to begin his career with back-to-back 30-point games.
