BERKELEY, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball stayed hot and won a slugfest 9-6 over Cal to move its winning streak to six.
The runs came early in this one with the Broncos (8-4) scoring two in the first and adding four more in the second after the Bears (6-6) put up four in the bottom of the first. Things were tied at 6-all through three innings but the Broncos scored again in the fourth to take the lead for good and added an insurance run in the sixth.
The second saw Dawson Brigman lead off with a single and come around to score when Cal Christofori tripled.
