LOS ANGELES – Pushing the unbeaten streak to 12 (10-0-2), No. 20 Santa Clara women's soccer advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament with a 3-1 win over No. 13 Oklahoma State on the campus of USC Friday afternoon.
The Broncos (15-5-2) dominated and were on the front foot for nearly the entire game and two first half goals in less than a minute were more than enough. Santa Clara outshot the Cowgirls (16-3-3) 20-4 and 4-2 in shots on target in the second-round match. The three goals were the most Oklahoma State had given up all year.
