SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara University athletic programs reached or surpassed the required NCAA standard in all 19 of its intercollegiate sport programs, according to the multi-year NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) that was announced earlier this month.
Six of the eight men's programs scored 974 or higher in the latest APR while 10 of 11 women's programs scored 989 or higher. Six of those women's programs recorded perfect scores of 1,000 (cross country, golf, softball, sand volleyball, tennis and outdoor track and field).
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete during the school year.
