ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. – Dense fog along the central coast this morning wiped out one round of the Cal Poly Invitational, but it didn't prevent Santa Clara women's golf from taking the lead when play did get underway. Led by senior Kyleigh Moreno, the Broncos carded a first-round 298 in the shortened event.
Fog forced a delay of nearly three hours and the field will now play 36 holes of golf instead of the originally scheduled 54. "We plan on teeing off at 8:30 a.m. unless the fog returns," head coach Krystal Kelly said.
