PRINCETON, N.J. - The Santa Clara men's water polo team ended the Princeton Invitational on a winning note by defeating Navy, 12-7, Sunday behind a career-high four goals for Reilley May.
The Broncos (3-2) who scored six goals with an extra attacker won three of their four games in the three-day tournament.
Santa Clara maintained a steady lead against Navy (5-5) throughout the game, sustaining at least a three-goal lead beginning late in the second quarter.
Dane Estrella helped the Broncos with two goals and game-high three steals.
May scored twice in the final four minutes of the second period to give the Broncos a 6-2 lead.
