CLAREMONT, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis lost to No. 30 San Diego, 4-1 in the West Coast Conference Tournament championship match on Saturday as the Toreros claimed its sixth straight crown.
After dropping the doubles point, Santa Clara (17-8) evened the match at 1-1 on Santiago Hinojosa's straight-set win over Pratt Keerasuntonpong, 6-2, 6-2 on court six. It was the freshman's third singles win in as many days to help him earn a place on the WCC All-Tournament Team.
With the score tied at 1-all, San Diego (20-4) reeled off three straight victories on courts two, one and five including David Norfeldt's match clinching win over Robert Seby, 6-2, 6-4.
