SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis defeated Fresno State, 4-3 to avenge last season's loss to the Bulldogs on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Degheri Tennis Center.
With Santa Clara (8-3) leading 3-2, Jesus Tapiador Barajas clinched the match for the Broncos with a 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) win over Angus Bradshaw on court two as the Broncos remained a perfect 5-0 at home this season.
In doubles, Santa Clara (8-3) dropped the first match but came back to win the next two matches with the clincher on court three as Vasileios Iliopoulos and Arthur Neuhaus defeated Cem Erturk and Zdenek Derkas, 6-3.
