SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Julian Bravo, Sam Agosti and Martin Aasen each tallied a goal to help Santa Clara men's soccer to a convincing 3-0 win over Holy Cross in the season opener.
The Broncos (1-0) outshot the Crusaders (0-1) 17-to-2 in the match, first breaking through in the 39th minute when Bravo headed in a cross from Dylan Carrubba beating Holy Cross goalkeeper Bobby Hurstak.
Alejandro Barajas led with a pass to a streaking Carrubba on the right side who sent in a service just inside the 18 to connect with Bravo to put the Broncos on the scoreboard.
