STANFORD, Calif. – Saturday's final-round 284 lifted Santa Clara men's golf four spots on the team leaderboard into a top-10 finish among the 27 teams competing at The Goodwin. The Broncos' lowest round of the three-day event put them into eighth place with an 864 total, ahead of seven ranked teams, including conference foes No. 27 BYU and No. 47 Saint Mary's.
"A top-10 is a good finish no matter who you are," head coach Rob Miller said.
The Broncos beat 12 teams with a higher ranking in the recent Golfstat.com poll.
Individually the Broncos were paced by their top two players.
