SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's golf opens it six-tournament spring season Monday at the 17-team Orange County Collegiate Classic, co-hosted by UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton at the 6,986-yard, par-72 Coto de Caza South Course.
"This is a first-time event so there aren't a lot of highly-ranked teams," head coach Rob Miller said of the competition. "We are one of the higher ranked teams in the field and there are a lot of teams we should beat."
The Broncos enter at No. 76 in the recent Golfstat.com rankings just behind San Francisco (63) and co-host Cal State Fullerton (72).
