SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The late start to the fall season did wonders for Santa Clara men's golf as they look to ride the momentum of an opening team and individual title into the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, hosted by Cal at the 6,734-yard, par-71 Meadow Club in Fairfax starting Monday.
The Broncos had one of the best outings in program history last week at The Jackrabbit, carding a first-round 23-under 265 on their way to capturing the team title by three-strokes over Tennessee with a 39-under 825.
"Everybody contributed and was productive and it's nice to start the season with a win," head coach Rob Miller said after the victory.
