LOS ANGELES – James Batemon playing in his final home game led a furious rally for Loyola Marymount in a game with West Coast Conference Tournament seeding implications.
The senior recorded 23 points, including 16 in the second half when the Lions rallied from a 20-point deficit to come away with a 72-70 win over Santa Clara men's basketball on Thursday.
Zafir Williams had 10 points and Petr Herman scored eight for LMU (19-10, 7-8), which shot 52 percent from the floor in the second half and went 30-for-36 from the free-throw line in the game.
