SANTA CLARA, Calif. - A hot shooting Santa Clara men's basketball used three double-digit scoring runs on 60-percent shooting from the field to post a convincing 88-72 victory over Stanford on Friday night inside a raucous Leavey Center.
Santa Clara (2-0) had 27 assists on 34 field goals leading to a balanced scoring effort that saw four Broncos score in double-figures.
Graduate transfer PJ Pipes led the Broncos with 24 points on 9-for-11 shooting with four of them coming from behind the 3-point line. Jalen Williams added 19, Josip Vrankic had 16 and a career-high eight assists while Keshawn Justice had a double-double scoring 14 and pulling down a career-high 13 rebounds.
