SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's basketball plays its final two nonconference home games during a four-day stretch that begins Saturday when Cal State East Bay visits Leavey Center. The Broncos then have a two-day break before facing UC Riverside at home. Saturday's tipoff vs. CSEB is set for 2 p.m.
Santa Clara, in its first season under head coach Herb Sendek, lost Saturday on the road to San Jose State, 55-40. Sophomore guard Matt Hauser scored a game-high 14 points but leading scorer Jared Brownridge was held to just 11 for the Broncos, who shot a season-low 28 percent from the floor.
