SANTA CLARA, Calif. - A career-high scoring night by Jalen Williams and a stifling team defense propelled Santa Clara men's basketball to an 87-57 victory over Cal Poly in a nonconference tilt on Friday night.
Williams set a career high with 26 points and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds to pace the Broncos, with 19 of those points coming in the first half, nearly matching Cal Poly's first half scoring output as the Broncos led 34-21 at the half.
Santa Clara (4-0) limited Cal Poly (1-3) to 37-percent shooting and forced 20 turnovers to extend their win streak to four to start off the season.
