LAS VEGAS – Santa Clara men's basketball put together a strong performance for the second-straight night and is now headed to the third round of the University Credit Union West Coast Conference Tournament.
Josip Vrankic rebounded from foul-plagued outing to post 24 points and Guglielmo Caruso scored 14 to lead a balanced offensive attack for the seventh-seeded Broncos who shot a blistering 55 percent from the floor in defeating No. 6 seed Pacific, 81-76, in Friday's second-round matchup.
Keshawn Justice and Jalen Williams each tallied 11 points for Santa Clara, which advanced to face Pepperdine on Saturday.
