SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara volleyball was dominant from start to finish on Saturday, defeating Gonzaga 3-0 with scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 25-15. The victory was career No. 100 for head coach Erin Lindsey, who is in her fourth year at the helm of the program.
The Broncos (8-12, 4-4) opened the contest with a convincing 25-13 win in the opening set, but Gonzaga put up a fight in the second set. The Bulldogs led 12-9 before Santa Clara quickly tied things up at 13-13. The teams exchanged blows for the remainder of the set, but the Broncos were able to break ahead by scoring four of the last five points of the match to win 25-22.
