LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Bolstered by their tournament-low final-round 298, Santa Clara women's golf climbed a spot on the leaderboard to claim fifth-place at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational with a 901 total.
The Broncos entered the day in sixth-place after rounds of 301 and 302, but leapfrogged host New Mexico state into the top-5, just one-stroke behind UC Riverside for fourth. Sacramento State led the entire way to capture the team title at 9-over 873.
"I'm really happy with how the team played today because we had to count all four scores," head coach Krystal Kelly said.
