SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara women's track and field runners Mary Kriege and Grayson Murphy have combined to produce one of the best seasons in program history this spring. This week, they became the first two Bronco females to qualify for a postseason meet.
Kriege and Murphy will each run in two events at the NCAA West Preliminary Meet in Lawrence, Kan. May 26-28. Kriege is set to compete at the 5000m and 1000m distances, while Murphy will take park in the 3000m Steeplechase and 5000m events. Santa Clara's last postseason qualifier was Kevin Oliver, who competed in the 3000m Steeplechase in 2013.
