SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer is no stranger to being represented on the U.S. Women's National Team but the Broncos will add another name to the impressive list of former players representing their country. Sofia Huerta has been called up to the USWNT camp for the upcoming Tournament of Nations and will join veteran national team player Julie Johnston. It will be Huerta's first time with the U.S. team.
Huerta has dual citizenship with Mexico and the U.S. and played in in the U20 World Cup for Mexico in 2012 in addition to some friendlies with the full Mexican national team in 2013.
