SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara softball played a solid all-around game to blank Dartmouth 5-0 on Wednesday to close out the nine-game homestand with a 7-2 record.
Sage Hager and Hannah Edwards combined for a four-hit shutout, the offense banged out nine hits and the defense did not commit an error to help Santa Clara improve to 15-13 on the year.
Hager (7-3) started in the circle and allowed just two base runners, on a hit and a hit by a pitch, before giving way to Edwards to start the fifth to earn her sixth-straight victory.
