SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's water polo player Kelly Frumkin has been named the Golden Coast Conference Player of the Week for the week of March 17, the conference announced today.
Frumkin was the driving force behind Santa Clara's 10-9 victory over Concordia in sudden-death overtime. The Oak Park, Ill., product scored half of the Broncos' goals, connected on five of seven shot attempts for a career-high five goals. She also tallied three steals in victory, Santa Clara's first in conference play since March 2019.
Frumkin is the first Santa Clara women's water polo player to earn GCC Player/Athlete of the Week honors since this season and the first since Maggie Oys in March 2020.
