SAN BRUNO, Calif. – After an extensive review of various contingency plans, the West Coast Conference will delay the start of competition for the 2020-21 season until Sept. 24, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fall sports impacted by the decision of the WCC Presidents' Council include men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball.
"This was the best course of action under the current circumstances," director of athletics Renee Baumgartner said. "We continue to look out for the best interest of our student-athletes, coaches and staff as our country is dealing with this pandemic.
