Davidson Notches 3,000-Meter School Record in Track & Field's Indoor Opener

SEATTLE — Jack Davidson began his second year with Santa Clara track & field by posting his second school record on Saturday afternoon at Dempsey Indoor. The sophomore posted a 3,000-meter time of 8:18.24 and took second place in his section at the UW Invitational.

Davidson's mark bested the previous school record of 8:19.76 set by Joey Berriatua at the 2015 Husky Classic. Last season, Davidson posted the first of his school records with a 5,000-meter 14:23.35 at the Mt. SAC Relays.

Berriatua and Zach Litoff also competed for the Broncos in the first of three indoor events in three weeks.
