SANTA CLARA, Calif. - For the second-consecutive season, Santa Clara men's basketball is playing in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The Broncos were selected to host the opening round and will welcome No. 2 seed Sam Houston State to the Leavey Center for a 6 p.m. PT tip on Wednesday, March 15.
Santa Clara is 23-9 overall on the season and finished third in the West Coast Conference for the second-straight year with a 12-5 record. The Broncos had three players earn All-WCC honors with Brandin Podziemski and Carlos Stewart being named to the first team and Keshawn Justice earning a second team nod.
