SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf alum Berk Harvey dominated from start to finish at the 2022 Vermont Open to pick up his first professional win on Wednesday.
Harvey turned in three straight rounds of 68 or lower, beginning with a 68 in the tournament's opening round. The San Jose native followed with a tournament-low 63 in the second round before finishing with a final round 67 to hold off runner-up Shawn Warren (200) and finish at the top of the standings with a 54-hole total of 12-under 198.
Harvey, who recently finished up his collegiate career with back-to-back top-10 finishes at the El Macero Classic and WCC Championship for the Broncos, talied a whopping 20 birdies in his turn at the Vermont Open against just seven bogeys.
