SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Santa Clara beach volleyball closed out the 2022 season losing to nationally-ranked LMU on Friday at the West Coast Conference Championship. The fourth-seeded Broncos defeated the fifth-seeded Portland 4-1 to open up tournament play in the morning session before losing to top-seeded LMU 5-0 in the afternoon.
The win against Portland was their 11th win of the season, the most the program has had since the 2016 season where they went 11-5.

Playing the first match of the day, Santa Clara (11-17) defeated Portland 4-1 with the match clincher coming courtesy of Alexia Inman and Claire Doud over Sarah Strong and Sophie Lee 24-22, 21-11 at No.
