Nail biter ensues AP following injury to Bears’ Lauren Cox
Lacey Yahnke The Santa Clara April 11, 2019(AP) After leading by as much as 17 points in the first half, Baylor fumbled the lead late in the second half following Lauren Cox’s departure from the game due to injury. It appeared that Notre Dame would repeat its remarkable comeback last year in the NCAA title game when the Fighting Irish overcame a 15 point deficit. Ultimately, the Bears came out on top.
Last week, the Lady Bears of Baylor University walked away with hardware in their hands and joy in their hearts after defeating the reigning champion Notre Dame 82-81 on Sunday night in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final.
