SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball extended its winning streak to six games with an 8-1 win over Cal on Tuesday night.
It was a close game through five and a half innings as the Broncos (24-15) had a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth after the Bears (18-23) got on the board in the top. Santa Clara would score twice in the home half of the sixth and four times in the seventh to pull away.
As good as the offense was late in the game, Caden Wooster (1-0) was better in the early-going.
