LAS VEGAS – Santa Clara baseball's bats stayed hot in a 17-3 win over Saint Mary's to secure a spot in the West Coast Conference Tournament Championship tomorrow.
After both teams put up a single run in the first, the Broncos (34-18) scored four in the second and never looked back. The lead would grow to 9-1 after a three-run fifth and Santa Clara kept the pedal to the metal with eight runs over the final three innings.
Dawson Brigman had three hits, including a home run, three runs scored, and five RBIs while also drawing a walk and stealing a base.
