SANTA CLARA, Calif. – An offensive eruption gave Santa Clara baseball a 17-2 win over Pacific on Saturday afternoon to take the three-game conference series.
In their final four times at-bat, the Broncos (16-11, 6-6 WCC) scored 16 times with at least three runs coming in each frame. All nine Santa Clara starters registered at least one hit, with the top four in the lineup all having two each.
Efrain Manzo had another big day at the plate, blasting his team-leading eighth and ninth home runs. He also added a walk, hit-by-pitch, three RBIs, and three runs scored.
