SANTA CLARA, Calif. – In a game that endured two rain delays, Santa Clara baseball came up on top 10-3 over CSU Bakersfield to take the second game of the series on Saturday afternoon at Stephen Schott Stadium.
Connor Henriques drove in a career-high four runs and Brandon Buckley threw five innings in relief after the delay to pick up the win for the Broncos (11-5) who have now won the first two games of the series.
The scheduled second game of the doubleheader was rained out.
Santa Clara (11-5) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the third inning when the first delay hit but that lasted just nine minutes.
