SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball finished its trip to Southern California with a 7-4 win over UC Santa Barbara on Monday.
The Broncos (14-10) scored most of their runs late, putting up one in the seventh and two in each of the eighth and ninth innings. The Gauchos (18-7) got back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the ninth to make things a little more interesting but the next three batters went down in order.
Santa Clara's offense pounded out 15 hits, led by three each from Jordan Lewis, Robert Hipwell, and Efrain Manzo.
