With three rushing touchdowns by senior running back Tyler Ervin, 707 yards of offense and a strong defense that surrendered 50 yards in the first half, the San Jose State Spartans football team jumped out to a 20-point first quarter lead and never trailed back, opening the 2015 season with a 43-13 victory over the New Hampshire Wildcats.
Ervin finished with 20 rushes for 129 yards, gouging the Wildcats en route to his fourth career—game with at least 100 yards rushing and became the first Spartan running back since De'Leon Eskridge to score three touchdowns in a game.
