SJSU police seeking donations, volunteers as yearly toy drive enters home stretch

SAN JOSE -- As burgeoning holiday shoppers commence their annual descent on the Bay Area's retailers, San Jose State University police hope that some of that spending can go toward their efforts to brighten the holidays for children in need in the campus community.

The University Police Department is entering the home stretch of its 23rd annual toy drive, which ends Wednesday. Prospective donors can give unwrapped toys for children up to age 12 or make a tax-deductible cash donation.Toys can be dropped off at the UPD lobby in the South Garage at 377 S. 7th St. downtown.
