SAN JOSE -- Who says a two-quarterback system can't work?
Opening night was a big success in almost every way for San Jose State, which buried overmatched New Hampshire 43-13 on Thursday, and nowhere were the Spartans more impressive than at quarterback.Senior incumbent Joe Gray and junior college transfer Kenny Potter attempted 34 passes against the 2014 Football Championship Subdivision national semifinalists, and only five of them hit the ground.Gray was 16 for 20 for 253 yards and a touchdown and Potter completed 13 of 14 for 167 yards in his debut -- and had two touchdown passes waved off by penalties.
