HONOLULU -- There are must-win games, and there are MUST-WIN games.
San Jose State has one of the latter Friday. The Spartans host Boise State in the regular-season finale and, if they win, they could be playing in a postseason game. To reach the six-victory requirement for bowl eligibility, the Spartans (5-6) must win."It's very exciting," coach Ron Caragher said Saturday night after the Spartans stayed alive with a 42-23 rout of Hawaii. "We put ourselves in a position to be bowl-eligible going into the last game of the year."San Jose State has been in a bowl game only twice since 1991.
