San Jose State quarterback Kenny Potter still questionable for Fresno State

Quarterback Kenny Potter wore a boot as a precautionary measure during San Jose State's practice Tuesday and his chances of starting against Fresno State this weekend remain questionable.

Potter, who had to leave the Oregon State game early in the second quarter because of an ankle injury, underwent an MRI exam Monday that showed no signs of serious damage, coach Ron Caragher said."Let's see how it goes by Thursday," Caragher said of Potter's chances of playing.Third-string quarterback Malik Watson of Pittsburg High School prepared Tuesday as the backup to senior Joe Gray.Also, running back Thomas Tucker is sidelined with the flu after recovering from a sprained ankle.
