SAN JOSE -- San Jose State plays three of its first five Mountain West Conference football games at Spartan Stadium, league officials announced Wednesday.
The school opens the 2016 conference season Oct. 1 at New Mexico State ahead of a two-game homestand Oct. 8 and Oct. 15 against Hawaii and Nevada, respectively. San Jose State travels Oct. 22 to face San Diego State before returning home Oct. 29 to host UNLV. The Spartans also play at home Nov. 19 against Air Force. The team's bye week comes after traveling to conference powerhouse Boise State on Nov. 5. San Jose State ends the season Nov.
